USB has come a long way in recent years. The 'wheel and hamster' mechanism has been replaced with the much improved 'greyhound and jackrabbit'. But you have to make sure to feed the rabbit, or he gets tired and the greyhound catches him. Then you have blood and rabbit guts all over your keyboard. Not fun for the kiddies.
